Areti Charidemou & Associates LLC is a law firm having its headquarters in Limassol for more than 30 years. We are looking to fill the GDPR Officer position in our Company. In this position you will be responsible for the practices and their implementation regarding GDPR matters.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides Data Protection services and advice clients or advice the Employer’s Group of Companies.
  • Monitors the Company’s compliance with legislation, regulations and codes of practise relating to information governance, including the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR);
  • Acts as a liaison with the Cyprus Data Protection Commissionaire’s Office
  • Maintains and reviews a comprehensive data protection plans, policies and procedures;
  • Responds to queries from internal and external clients on data protection;
  • Promote and ensures GDPR compliance and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree
  • At least two years of relevant experience
  • Speak and write fluently and professionally both in Greek and English
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely with clients and associates.
  • Thorough understands of all legislation, regulations and codes of practice relating to information governance, including national and European data protection laws such as GDPR;

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an Accountant to join the Accounting team on a part-time basis. Our client is a well-established company in Limassol with over 30 years of presence and a growing reputation in its area of expertise, characterized by a friendly and professional culture.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing overall support on the company’s accounting operations
  • Responsible for the timely data entry (bookkeeping)
  • Execution and supervision of invoices, receipts, payments
  • Preparation and recording of journal entries, reports and confirmation of accounts balances
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly reports of bank and other accounts
  • Calculating VAT and the due tax, preparing VAT declaration forms, ensuring compliance with payments, submission of reports, or other tax requirements
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts
  • Reviewing and processing of expense accounts for accuracy and consistency according to company procedures
  • Managing daily accounting tasks
  • Ensuring the application of accounting rules in compliance with reporting standards, external auditors, and company policy
  • Providing assistance and information for the audit of accounts by external auditors

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • LCCI Higher in Accounting and/or Diploma and/or Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of the software program (Eurosoft) will be considered an advantage
  • Analytical and numerical skills
  • Ability to work and collaborate with a team
  • Computer literate
  • Speak and write fluently and professionally both in Greek and English

  • Working on the preparation of court cases or out-of-court disputes
  • Handling a portfolio of clients and undertake the ongoing communication with them in a timely manner and for their best benefit
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, legal opinions, pleadings, written addresses and writing any other legal documents
  • Examining legal material and performing legal searches of related legislation or procedures in regards to related matters and cases.

Minimum Qualifications

  • University Degree in Law
  • At least six years of relevant experience
  • Sufficient experience in court hearings
  • Speak and write fluently and professionally both in Greek and English
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely with clients and associates
